Wedding and Events performer
As an accomplished, full-time musician since 2000, I have vast experience in providing music to many different types of events and functions, all over the world.
I am a solo, acoustic guitarist and vocalist and cover many different genres, with the aim at having something for everyone, no matter their taste in music.
I am flexible with song choice and I believe that communication with the client is key to understanding exactly what kind of atmosphere that they want (and don’t want) for their event. A song list can be provided upon contact, if required.

I am currently based in Brisbane and happy to travel within Queensland and interstate.

Weddings
​
Solo acoustic guitar and vocals with full, quality P.A. system (which can be arranged to be used for speeches, etc).
​
Perfect for the ceremony, during the garden party, reception and in between speeches.
​
I am more than happy to learn specific songs for the event, to ensure that you get your dream walk down the aisle, or first dance song.
Although I am not a DJ, I am happy to play and/or arrange a playlist of your favourite music to be played through a tablet, for the more lively parts of the day, to ensure that your dance floor is filled at the end of the night.
Events
Whether you are hosting a large corporate event or even a small backyard birthday party, I am very happy to accommodate.

I can provide you with a full, quality P.A. system for speeches if necessary, as well as acoustic guitar/vocal solo performance, and play or arrange a playlist of your favourite music to be played through a tablet that I will provide.

Bio
A Wee Bit About Me
I was brought up in the North East of Scotland in Aberdeenshire into a musical family and learned to play the tin whistle and bodhran, from a young age. I learned how to play rhythm guitar as a teenager and singing came along with it.
​
I joined the British Army at 17 and took my guitar to my first posting in Germany and also to the Kosovo crisis in 1999, where I used to regularly perform to my fellow soldiers (when we got some down time) and that is where I got my first real taste of live performing.
​
After leaving the Army in 2000, I was signed briefly by EMI Records as singer/songwriter with band "Vertigo" before going solo. Based in Edinburgh, I performed regularly all over the UK for 15 years, both solo, and with various bands at live music venues, weddings and events.
​
I was also contracted to perform in the holiday and party islands of Ibiza and Mallorca for 5 years, and had stints playing in Dublin, Ireland before moving back to Edinburgh.
​
I then met my wife and moved to Brisbane in 2013 where I have played small pub gigs, weddings and events. I became an Australian citizen on Australia Day 2020.
